Guess What????

Little Miss has FINALLY rolled over!!! She rolled over Sunday after we had gotten home from church. Justin had her laying on a blanket in the floor and all of a sudden she just rolled right over! We kept putting her back on her tummy and she would roll back over to her back... she did this probably 6 times! I am so happy to see her do new things and Justin, Ashley, my niece Amber, Carson and I were all able to be right there when she did it for the 1st time. We were all so excited for her. She is growing waaayyyy too fast!

I know that I have been so horrible at blogging lately. Sometimes I just hate not being able to post all of her pictures, so I just don't even bother! But this will be over in February, hopefully! OH I CAN NOT WAIT! You all will get so tired of seeing my Little Miss' face! She is definitely the high light of our lives. :)

4 Month Check Up... WOO HOO!!!

Yea, SO...I haven't even posted about Little Miss' 4 month check up appointment....Am I a bad parent OR WHAT??? LOL! I have been running so crazy lately. I seriously have had clients telling me "ummm, can you get me in ASAP!" I have had soooo many messages and phone calls to return and I am sure that they have literally thought that I had forgotten about them. Gosh, sometimes I feel like I am running a million steps behind everything else. But, I am proud to say that I have FINALLY gotten all of my phone calls returned, I think! ;) I was only able to work 1 day last week because Little Miss was sick and pitiful. I have been back all this week, but didn't get to work on Tuesday because it was Little Miss' appointment, and when she has to get shots, I just go ahead and take off the whole day in case they make her sick. So what did we learn at her 4 month check up???
  • She is weighing in at 17.11 lbs!!! She is in the 97th percentile in her weight. YAY!! She is such a precious little chunker and we just love it. She is just sooo healthy!! :)
  • She is 27 inches long! She is in the 97th percentile in her heighth, as well!
  • Her head size is in the 50th percentile!
  • We get to start some sweet potatoes!! Ohhh, how I have been waiting to do this! I haven't done it yet because I wanted to wait until the weekend so that I could be with her for a couple of days to be sure that he doesn't have a reaction. He told me to start her on cereal in a bowl, but I had actually started that on the Friday before! Ooops... (I just couldn't wait)

Everything else was absolutely perfect with her. We are so lucky and blessed to have such a healthy and happy baby. She, of course, was all smiles to see her Dr.!

The rest of the week we have just had a super busy week. I have pretty much just worked and worked trying to get as many people taken care of as I could. With Thanksgiving coming up, everyone is wanting their hair fixed up! :) I did get to get 2 visits from my little Angel at work, though! Her Aunt Hee Hee brought her to see me on Thursday and today she and her Daddy came to visit me and brought me lunch. Aren't they just so sweet?! We have another crazy busy weekend! Thank goodness it is finally here!!!!!!!

HALLOWEEN...even though I am about a week late :)

Our Halloween was a great night. I really enjoyed getting Little Miss dressed up and ready for her very 1st Halloween. Although she will not ever remember this, it is just simply the memories that we are making that I LOVE!
Here is a picture of Little Miss, my neice Autumn, my nephew Carson and my Grandad

Crazy, Busy, So Called Life...

I haven't forgotten about my blog...just been crazy busy! First of all...
MY BABY GIRL IS 4 MONTHS OLD TODAY!!!
How is that even right?!? It seems like just yesterday that I got a phone call saying, "Kelly, are you enjoying your 4th of July? Well, just wanted to call and congratulate you because you and Justin have been chosen for a baby girl. She was born today and she is perfectly healthy. Are you ready to go the hospital to meet her?"...I don't think that anything from here on out in my lifetime will top that moment in our lives. To all of the people still waiting...Don't get discouraged because you just really have no idea what kind of wonderful is in store for you. I wish that I could relive those hours over and over. That was the best day of my life. I love looking back at her hospital photos and just reliving that feeling of "Can this be real? Is this really happening? Is this perfect and beautiful little baby girl really OURS???" Ahhh...adoption is an amazingly wonderful, humbling and blessed thing. I thank GOD every single day for our perfect little blessing that is actually 4 months old today!!!
Little Miss has actually been sick since Sunday. I have been out of work all week with her, which I LOVE, but I hate that she has been sick. She has been running a fever off and on since Tuesday. It has stayed between 102 and like 99.9, but this morning it was FINALLY 98.8 and I hope that it will stay down today. We went to the doctor on Tuesday and he didn't really know exactly what the problem was because she was still so smiley (she really is just always smiling) and she didn't have any congested symptoms. But, yesterday she started being congested, so we now know that it is just a cold virus. Her ears are great too, so we just have to let this run it's course. Hopefully, it is over.

I have started my carb diet back... :( I started it on Tuesday, so this is my 3rd day! My days have consisted of

  • Tuesday...breakfast- eggs and fried bologna; dinner- chicken from Zaxby's
  • Wednesday...breakfast- eggs and fried bologna; dinner- green beans and grilled chicken
  • Thursday...breakfast- chicken from lastnight scrambled with eggs and cream cheese; don't know what I am going to do for dinner yet!

BLAH...eggs, meat, green beans, cheese...this is what my life will consist of 2 WHOLE WEEKS...I want a candy bar so bad! HAHA! Oh well, I will make. :)

So, I am going to try to go back to work today and hopefully my baby girl will feel better. I have a lot of things to post about that I need to catch you up on, including HALLOWEEN AND TRICK OR TREATING!!! So much fun!! I will do that maybe tomorrow! I am off to a long day at work today! Have a great day!!!

UPDATE ON LITTLE MISS ;)

So...my baby girl is 16 weeks old today! Isn't that so CRAZY??? I just can not believe how fast she is growing up on me. It seems like she is learning new things all of the time now. This is so exciting to see her do something new, but it also means that she is getting so big, which sometimes could make me pretty sad! BUT, seeing her smile and laugh, as she does all of the time now, makes me just explode with happiness. Here are a few things that she has started doing within the last week...
  • She has found that she kinda likes to suck on her thumb! (She has really started this just yesterday and she only sucks on her right thumb!!) It is so funny.
  • She can now put her paci back into her mouth. She has been pulling it out of her mouth for a while now, but she has just figured out how to put it back in.
  • She loves when you tickle her chest, kinda under her neck. She will laugh and laugh...ALWAYS. This is just precious.
  • She is shoveling everything into her mouth. This has been going on for probably 2-3 weeks, though.
  • She has FINALLY found me in the car! I have a mirror on the seat so that I can see her and she has just recently found me in the rear view mirror by looking through her mirror. THIS IS MY FAVORITE THING!!! I will hear her breathing really hard and kicking in her seat and this is when she is looking dead at me through the rear view mirror. When I look at her, she laughs & giggles. It is such a day brightening moment! :)
  • Oh, and she pulls her hair...all of the time! She has been doing this for a couple of weeks. I hate when she does it. I know it hurts! LOL!

Last night Justin and I had our first "date night" since we have been parents. My sister kept Little Miss while we went out. We didn't do anything major, we just went to Bass Pro for the 1st time since it has re-opened from the flood. Justin had to get her her first Real Camo hunting outfit. Oh my goodness, I think it is so ugly! Haha! He LOVES it, though. I may think that it is ugly, but she will definitely ROCK IT OUT, if I must say so myself!!! ;) We did just a bit more shopping around, grabbed a bite to eat and then went on back to pick up our sweet Angel. It was so weird being out without her, but we really enjoyed our night! Today, we are having a low key kinda day! Little Miss is currently sleeping in her Daddy's arms in the recliner while I am sitting here on the couch watching "Amazing Wedding Cakes" and updating my blog. Is that not a perfect day, or what??? We will head over to my Dad's after while for our Sunday Dinner ritual. And, I also have my windows open today, so the breeze is blowing through perfectly. FABULOUS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!

Marvelous Monday :)

Monday is always a great day because I am off and get to spend the whole day with my sweet little girl and my nephew Carson. This Monday, Carson and I made a fort in my living room floor!

OK...so I am not much of a builder, but hey, he loved it!!!

This is Carson inside his "house" with his farm...

Here, he decided that he might want to take a nap inside his "house" (This lasted for all of ummm 5 seconds!) :)

And here is where I had to throw the camera down because he was grabbing her so that he could put her in the box and move her into his house! LOL!!! He is just too funny!

Monday evening we had our 3 month Post Placement Visit. It went great. Little Miss was such a little ham while we were there. She showed off her little laugh several times! She is such a little social bug! I just love it! We only have 1 more visit to go at 6 months!!! YAY!!!

Family Sunday

On Sunday, we headed out to my Aunt's house in Portland. My Mam (grandmother) and some more family came down from Kentucky to celebrate my sister and my nephew's birthdays in October. We had a WONDERFUL huge feast with chicken and dumplings, ham, homeade yeast rolls, green beans, corn and tons more. We had banana pudding, pistachio pudding, pumpkin pie, butter rum cake, and mahogany cake. Oh...it was all so delicious. It was such a great day just spending it with such close family. It is so different without my Mom there with her family, but it feels so great being right where her heart is. I am so blessed to have the wonderful family that I do. Aunt Sandy, Mam & Debbie...you all cooked a GREAT meal. :)

This is Mam with Little Miss. (Again...I hate her face being blacked out, but wanted to share the pictures!)

I love this one where she is looking down at her...

My Mam is an awesome seamstress. She can sew ANYTHING. She has always made us all dresses and things. I still have tons of dresses that she made for Ashley and I when we were Little Miss' size. Everytime someone in the family has a baby, she makes them their christening gowns. She suprised me with Little Miss' on Sunday! Oh my gosh...they are gorgeous! Candice, get ready because we need pictures done again! :)

Here is one dress...

This is another one that she made...

And, here is the blanket that she made for her, as well...

These pictures do not even do them justice. They are more than I could have even imagined. I was so excited to get them! Mam also told me that before my Mom passed away, my Mom gave Mam the pattern to these for when I had a baby girl (she always said she knew without a doubt that I would have a girl first...SHE WAS SOOO RIGHT). Little Miss is so blessed with soooo many people that love her so much! I just LOVE her dresses so much. My Mam is so amazing!!! :)

CIRCUS TIME...

I am a little behind on my blogging because we have been so very busy! We had such an awesome weekend! We had lots of friend time, family time and of course...MOMMY TIME! :) On Saturday, we had Little Miss' and my nephew, Carson's Halloween pictures made. They got all dressed up in their costumes and poor Candice tried her best to get some good shots of them. I haven't seen the pictures yet, but there is just no telling because both babies were NOT in the mood for pictures!! Since it was time for Little Miss' 3 month pictures, we also did some pictures of them in their regular clothes, as well. We got some of them together and some of me and Little Miss and Ash and Carson. I saw a couple of them from Candice's camera and they looked pretty good, given the kids' moods. They had me and my sister pretty stressed because they both just were not cooperative! LOL!!! (NOTE TO YOU ALL...I am learning that with a child, it is VERY hard to be a control freak! Things don't just always go as planned!) I sometimes kinda get cracked up at myself because I get so stressed when I am not in COMPLETE control...and nowadays...well, Little Miss is pretty much in control! HAHA! But, oh how I love it!
We rushed home from pictures to get the kids ready to head out to the CIRCUS!!! Oh, how I love the circus! It was so much fun. All of the kids really had such an awesome time. They were just amazed at everything. Here are some pictures of us with one of the clowns...

Here are just some snapshots of us while we were waiting for it to begin...

This is my sister, Ashley and Carson

Little Miss and I (I hate blacking out her face, but soon I will no longer have to!) :)

Our friend, Christy with her 2 kids, Micah and Liv

We had such a great time at the circus! The older kids got to ride elephants and ponies, while Little Miss and I saved seats! The people in the circus really put their lives on the line and it is so amazing. There was one time when a man literally almost fell off of this huge ring that was in the air. It made my heart stop! I absolutely love making wonderful memories with my baby girl!!

Anyways, we have a major weekend planned, so posts about all of the FUN will come soon!!! Oh...and isn't she just gorgeous rocking out the pj's?!?! :)

Sometimes I Wonder...

How can I live the rest of my life without ever speaking to my Mom? How can I can live the rest of my life without ever seeing my Mom's face again? How can I teach my daughter about the perfect Nana that she has, without her ever meeting her?

This week, I changed my Mom's flowers on her grave. My sister and I always make them ourselves so that they are really big and beautiful, but this time I had them ordered. The flower shop actually did an excellent job. They are fall colors and she would definitely love them. I cleaned her stone while I was there and it looks so pretty. It is so weird how I have such different feelings when I go to her grave. Sometimes I feel happy when I am there. Sometimes I feel sad when I am there. Sometimes I feel mad when I am there. Just seeing her name on that stone makes me sick to my stomach. It has almost been a year since she passed away and it STILL hasn't sunk in to me yet. I get so upset knowing that my Mom is GONE and it is something that I will NEVER heal from. It will never stop hurting. So many things in our life has changed since she has been gone and I am so thankful, but it hurts that I can't call and tell her. Little Miss will never know the love that her Nana would have had for her...but she will always be TAUGHT how much love she would have had for her! I miss my Mom soooooo badly. Every single day I think of her and every single day I still cry for her. I will never heal from losing her...How do you accept that? How do you move on from something that you don't want to move on from? To feel that I am moving on feels like I am forgetting her, it makes me feel further away from my Mom. One of the best things that my Mom taught me was LOVE. She taught us all the love of a family and that at the end of the day, that is all that matters. My Mom taught me how to be a Mom, even though she isn't here now that I am a Mom, she shines through me every day because I am so much like her.
She shines through my Brother, my Sister and me...

The GREATEST Moment Yet...

So, tonight I was holding Little Miss to where her back was against my stomach and she was facing away from me...She threw her head backwards and pushed those big blue eyes up at me and smiled. I started talking to her and she literally started laughing SO HARD that she couldn't breathe. She laughed like this for about 5 minutes straight. She did it for a minute or two and I finally got my hands on my cell phone and got the BEST video ever! This has been the greatest moment yet! She has absolutely made our night! I wish that I could post her face because I would post the video in a heartbeat. This little girl is the light of our lives!!! She just couldn't be any more perfect!! :)

Little Miss

We had Little Miss' pictures made when she was 6 weeks old, she is now 13 weeks, but I am just getting around to posting a few that do not show her face. The pictures were amazing and I am so proud of them. It is already time to get her 3 month pictures done, as well! LOL!

Yes, her name begins with a "G"... :)

Aren't these feet the cutest things ever? I just love them so much!!
These 3 pictures were the only ones that didn't show her face! It seems like forever until I can post her face, but it will be soon enough!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Weekend Happenings

Here is the beautiful Bride, Ashley, and her Daddy...

The handsome Groom, Jordan, and their son, Tuff...

These are the decorations that were on the end of each aisle...

This is the altar that they decorated! Isn't it so pretty? They did such a wonderful job...

My camera broke after I took these pictures, GO FIGURE... But, everything was gorgeous and I am so happy for them!!!
This is a picture of a strawberry cobbler that I made last night! it was so awesome!! I thought that it looked so pretty, so I thought that I would share!!

LOVE Is In The Air!!!

Just so you all know... we have 31 days until a very special day!!! We have been counting down for a while now, but we are getting closer and closer. I thank GOD every day for my sweet daughter!

I want to give a huge CONGRATULATIONS to one of my great friends, Ashley and her new husband, Jordan! They have "tied the knot" this weekend with a gorgeous wedding. They had mason jars hanging every where with little tea lights in them. It looked like little fireflies inside them, it was so pretty. I am so happy for you two and for your precious little boy, Tuff! Love you, Ash!

I have more things to post about, but will do that maybe this afternoon! I also have some pictures that I actually can post!!! YEAH!!! Have a wonderful day!!!

Walking to Cure Diabetes

Saturday, September the 25th, my niece Amber, Little Miss and I walked to help cure the terrible diease, diabetes. Gosh, there are so many people with this sickness. So many kids that deal with this every single day. We were on a team for a teenage boy and a little girl called Luke's Skywalkers and Maci's Marchers. It is so eye opening when you go to things like this and you see so many shirts that say "Walking in the memory of...". We all had a wonderful time walking and I pray that they DO FIND A CURE, but until then...we will all keep walking and praying!
Way To go Luke's Skywalkers & Maci's Marchers

Busy Busy Bees

We have been going and going and going...Ha...that is all that we do! :) So, here we go...
On Friday, my friend Hope and I gave our friend, Ashley, a Bachelorette Party! She is getting married on Ocotber 2nd to her long time High School sweetheart! Their story is really sweet and just reminds you that no matter what, you will end up with who you are meant to end up with. Her party turned out great! We all got her some cute little lingerie! Ohhh Lala!! :) We played a little game that was too cute! I, of course, forgot my camera at home so I didn't get any pictures!
Congratulations, Ash! I am so HAPPY for you!
Ash and her Mom, Annette, bought Little Miss the cutest little back pack ever! They also got her a picture board for her room, a sweet little bracelet, and the cutest outfit ever! It has such a sweet little hat that gors with it! They also got her a blanker made that is just out of this world! It has her name on it and we just LOVE it! Thank you both so much!! We are so thankful!!

We took a trip on Saturday to my Aunt's house in Portland, TN. It was so great to see them and to visit with them. I fixed up my Aunt Sandy's hair and my cousin Blake's hair. They looked awesome, I must say! Haha! Everyone got to love on Little Miss for a while we there. Aunt Sandy had told me a few days before that she was going to make fried chicken for us...YUMMY!!! She said that she knew that Mommy made it for us alot, and she knew that we weren't making it too much, so she said that she would make it for us. Friday night I had a crazy dream...I dreamed that my Mom was sitting in our recliner in my living room and she was eating fried chicken. I told her, "Wait let me take your picture with my phone so that Sandy can see you eat her fried chicken!"... I woke up feeling pretty awesome because I knew that my Mom would be sitting there with us at Aunt Sandy's. It is so easy to forget that she is with us because I can't talk to her, but little things like that can just make my whole week...month... or even year! I miss her so much! It feels so great to be around her family because she loved them with her whole heart! I feel so close to her when I am talking with my Aunt Sandy or my Mam (My Mom's Mom). We had a great time Saturday and I honestly hated to leave. I wish that we all lived much closer together. Saturday night, my sister, Carson, Alex, Autumn, Little Miss and I met up with one my best friends, Christy and her daughter, Liv at Olive Garden. It was very good! They gave us a huge table that was kinda enclosed all by itself, so we had a fabulous time while we were there! We were able to let all of the kids do their thing, in their high chairs of course, and not worry about them being so quiet! Liv was so excited to see Little Miss! She has baby dolls that are named after Little Miss! Bless her heart! It is so sweet! It was an awesome top off to a great day!

On Sunday we went to church and after church service, we had lunch there! It was so yummy! After church, we came home and relaxed for a while and then we headed out to my Dad's house for supper. We had grilled chicken, grilled hamburgers, grilled hot dogs, grilled pork chops, baked beans, loaded potatoe skins, and pasta salad. Ohhh, it was all so good! The kids played and played until they were just played out! So, they all slept good Sunday night, I am sure!

Monday was a wild day, as well! I had my nephew Carson and Little Miss and we just stayed in most of the day. I did actually get Little Miss' closet cleaned out, though! It was long over due, but I now have all of her clothes out that she can't fit into anymore! It made me a little sad to see what all she couldn't wear!

These are all of the clothes that I took out of her closet! There are a ton of things that she never even wore! Isn't that crazy?!? Anyways, I finished this up and then fed the two little eaters all day! They both just eat and eat and eat! Carson was so good yesterday! He was so loving all day! At one point, he climbed into my lap and wrapped his arms around my neck and looked at me and said, "Kay, I could just drink you up!" Awe...he makes me heart absolutely melt! He is so sweet! He also just kissed on Little Miss all day! After carson left, Justin, Little Miss and I headed to the Boro to meet Hope, a friend of mine, and her Mom, Virginia. They wanted to see Little Miss and they also had a gift for her. They got her 4 of the cutest little outfits ever!

Thank you so much, Hope and Virginia! We love it all so much!! They got to love on Little Miss for a little bit and then we headed out to go to our monthly Adoption Support Group. I love going to these because I love to hear other people's adoption stories! Last night's topic was Parenting Techniques. I figured Justin and I could learn some awesome stuff from that! lol! We definitely did! I will do a whole post on that next! Hope that you all enjoyed your weekend!!!

Sweet Mommy and Daughter Time

So, this weekend I have pretty much just had some wonderful Mommy/Daughter time. It has been truly amazing. What I would give to be able to stay at home with my baby, but I just can't possibly do that. I have to work. I have always said that there was just NO WAY that I could be a stay at home Mom, but since I am a Mom, I absolutely would be a stay at home Mom in a heartbeat!! Since I have had a few good solid days with my baby girl, she has really turned into a Momma's girl! OH I LOVE IT!! I love her being a Momma's girl. She has had several visitors this weekend and while they were holding her, she was just looking around for ME! Sweet, Sweet Baby! So...what have we done all weekend...

On Friday, we just hung out at home. My sister, Ashley, came over for a little bit and played with Little Miss... she absolutely LOVES her Aunt Hee Hee! We had fun doing that for a little while. After she left, Justin and I just spent time loving on our sweet baby. She is very much so the highlight of our lives. We had an awesome night at home.

On Saturday, Justin left in the wee hours of the morning to go to a big dove shoot...that's right, he is a huge hunter! So, Little Miss and I had the whole morning to just lay around and snuggle. So that is just what we did. We snuggled all morning long. We had quite a few visitors wanting to visit with Little Miss on Saturday. People just love to come and hold her! lol! We took a trip shopping after all of our visitors left. I was able to get quite a few Fall clothes for Little Miss. I got her some very cute tights that I can not wait to put on her cute little chunky legs. I got her a little sweater to wear over the tights. I got her a cute little brown dress. She now has bows in just about every Fall color! :) Also, I bought her another pair of little blue jeans and a very cute cream color shirt that has a little ruffle around the neck. All of her stuff is so cute and I am so ready for Fall. I am so ready for her to wear her tights with her dresses. After we got back from shopping, Justin, Little Miss and I headed to eat at O'Charley's. It was so good and I am usually not a huge fan of O'Charley's!

On Sunday, we went to church and then headed out to WalMart. We had to get diapers, milk, dog food... the usual! Of course... we had to stop by Dairy Queen on the way home and get a good ole fattening Blizzard. :) Little Miss and I went to visit our friend, Michelle, who had surgery on Wednesday. It was great to see her doing so well after her surgery. We headed home and had Spaghetti for supper with Justin.

On Monday, Little Miss and I spent the day just her and I. We played and snuggled all day, again! We grocery shopped and ran some errands. Ashley and Carson came over for dinner and we had Sloppy Joe's, Caesar Pasta Salad and French Fries. Carson just loves to love on Little Miss. It is the sweetest thing ever!

Today, I am going back to work. It makes me sad to leave her, although I know that she is so taken care of while she is with the family that keeps her. This little girl is light of all of our lives. It just constantly leaves me wondering...
How can we be so BLESSED???

2 Month Dr. Appt

Today we had to go to the doctor for Little Miss' 2 month appointment, which means... SHOTS She actually did great, although I, on the other hand, was a nervous wreck. She was all smiles this morning not knowing what was about to come. She had an oral medicine and she had 3 shots, 2 in the right leg and 1 in the left leg. They did the oral dose 1st and she loved it. She sucked it down like it was candy. 2nd, they did the 2 shots in the right leg. She whimpered after the shots, but I was able to get her to smile after each of them. 3rd, they did the shot in the left leg, this one made her SCREAM. Her nurse said that she always did that shot last because it always hurts them. She said that it was the medicine in them that makes it burn. It just broke my heart!! I picked her up and she stopped crying. It felt so good to be able to console her and make her feel better.

On a happier note...She now weighs 13lbs and 9oz and is in the 95th percentile of her weight. She is 24 5/8 inces long and is also in the 95th percentile of her heighth. Her doctor said that she was doing perfect! I am such a proud little momma!! :) She doesn't have to go back to the doctor until she is 4 months, unless she is sick! I also got to add her under our insurance today! That felt so great! The first two appointments she was self-pay, but this time I was able to add our insurance! It felt so great...just one step closer to her being our's forever! It is so crazy how adoption differs from having your own child. Who would think that you would get excited over insurance! ADOPTION REALLY ROCKS!!!
i just love my big, healthy and happy baby girl!!!

Sunday's Outings

On Sunday, we had a great day! The weather was perfect, again... in the low 80's and full sunshine. Our Sunday started off pretty crazy, but it ended up being a wonderful day! My sister and I took the kids to the zoo! It was Little Miss' first time going to the zoo, so we had a blast! Carson absolutely loved it this time. He has been several times, but this time he was so interested in the animals! Every time that we would walk away from an animal to go to the next one, he would say, "OHHH I want to see the AMINALS!" He calls them "aminals"! It is just too cute! Little Miss just rode along and would wake up from time to time. ;) The zoo was completely packed on Sunday! It was pretty crazy, but it was a great relaxing day that Ash and I both needed!

They have just added a new Flamingo Park at the zoo last Friday. It was so neat. I just love the Flamigos! Little miss got a few things from Flamingo Park...

Here is a picture of Little Miss and I

After the zoo, we ran into Halloween Express to try to find the kid's costumes. No such luck! We just aren't having the luck to find the one's that we want. So, just keep on looking! :) On Sunday night, we went to a suprise birthday party/cookout. We had a great time and Little Miss loved being around all of the kid's that were there.
Happy Birthday, Edye!!!
We had a fabulous Sunday! Our weekend was filled with family, friends, love, LOTS of laughter and little bit of craziness (which did get worked out!)
So today, I have Carson while Ash is working. Justin, Carson, Little Miss and I will spend the day hanging out in this faulous weather and then... who knows!! Hope everyone has had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!!

Family Friday

We had a family dinner with Justin's family at Justin's Gram and her husband, Ed's house on Friday night. We celebrated Lana's birthday, Justin's sister, Joe's birthday, family friend, and we celebrated Little Miss' 2 month birthday!! :)
happy birthday Lana, Joe and Little Miss.
Hope that you all enjoyed your special day!

Justin's sister, Lana, and our sweet nephew, Easton, came in from South Carolina and Justin's uncle, Herb, and family friend, Joe, came in from Birmingham, Alabama. We had a great evening with great food and great cake!!

Our Perfect Saturday

On Saturday, the 4th, we took Little Miss to her first Parade! It was just a small parade with pretty much just horses, but it was awesome! She stayed awake through the entire thing! She was all laid back and didn't take her eye off of the horses! Everyone that passed would point and say, "Oh look at that little baby!" I would wave her little hand like she was saying, "Hi", right back to them! lol! I absolutely love being a mommy!!!

Saturday was the first day here in Tennessee that actually felt like Fall. It was in the high 70's. It was amazing. Now my baby girl is very pale! :) She is going to be pretty light skinned, I do believe, so she hasn't been in the sun much at all! So, when we got home from the parade, we sat outside for a little while to let her enjoy the awesome weather and gorgeous sunshine! It was a perfect day!

I am sure you all are wondering where Hee Hee came from!?! Well, my nephew, who is almost 14, started calling her that when he was a baby. He couldn't say Ashley, so he said Hee Hee. No one knows where he got that from, but it is what she has been called ever since, and we love it. I love it when kids come up with names all on their own!

On Saturday night, we all went over to my Dad's for a cook out. My Dad is an amazing cook! He LOVES grilling. We had an awesome night with family and great friends. This is what we were snuggled up to on Saturday night.

True Love Is Worth Waiting For

I have always known how parents say that they feel about their children, I have always heard them say, "He/She wouldn't do that!", and I have always known that my parents always thought that we were sweet and innocent. (Most of the time) But, I have recently learned where these feelings come from. Our baby girl is so sweet and innocent! Now, I am sure that I will not always feel this way! :) I am not one of those people to say, "Oh that wasn't MY child!", I will definitely be pointing to mine saying, "Did you do that?"! My feelings for my blog today are just pure love. We love this little girl more than anything in the whole world. We know that she was made just specifically for us. Every time she laughs at us or just gives the smallest little grin, we melt so hard. She is so perfect in every way!

Dear Our Little Miss,

Wow... that is all that I can even say about our life with you. You have filled our hearts with more love and happiness that you could even imagine. You are exactly what we have waited so long and prayed so hard for. You brighten our day every single time that you look at us with those big wide blue eyes. You are an Angel that was sent to us to fill us up with LOVE. You are so incredibly blessed to have so many people that love you more than life. You have a pretty big family with lots of love and hugs waiting for you around every corner. You have made all of our lives so much better and so much more full of love. You will never even know what love your Mommy and Daddy have for you.

WE LOVE YOU!!!
Mommy and Daddy

Just a little shopping for my girl! :)

I did a little shopping for Little Miss today and got her just a few little things! Here are 2 of the cutest shirts ever! I love shirts that say things about Mommy and/or Daddy!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE these little jeans! They are just too cute! I love the little ruffle at the bottom!

I bought a new diaper bag today! I love the colors on it. Now usually, I am way more of a plain, simple and elegant type person, so this bag is way more BUSY than what I would normally carry. BUT I LOVE IT!!!

I bought a few little things for her 1st Halloween, also! I absolutely love these shirts! I think that the "Daddy" one is the cutest, but the "Mummy" one will do! :)

This will be her 1st Trick or Treating Bag! I will probably get her name put on it somewhere before Halloween!!

I just have so much fun shopping for my baby girl! I can't wait to pick out her Halloween costume! I actually think that I have already chosen it, but I just have to find somewhere that has it in stock. It is WAY CUTE!! :)
