Really??? We deserve to be THIS Blessed?!?!

Justin and I are quickly learning how BLESSED we are to have such amazing people around us. I have so many people giving us things for the yard sale and we are sooo grateful! I have all of the things that I posted about previously, and now I have several more things to get! Yesterday at work, I had people to tell me that they will give me an Oak corner curio cabinet in perfect condition, a leather couch and love seat and MORE! This is so awesome! Without all of these things, there would not be a yard sale and we feel so blessed! I also have a friend that makes cakes and she told me that she would do 2 weeks out of July, August AND September where all of her profit goes to support our adoption! Again, BLESSED! I don't know how we will ever pay you all back, but we will try our hardest! Plus when Baby Nichols gets here, we know that they will be a blessing to us AND everyone else! We love you all and are so grateful to you in helping us make it possible to bless our family with a precious child!

Our Social Worker is now back from vacation! YAY! So, we can get everything finished up! She has to write our Home Study and we will be all done. Well, Justin still has to get his physical, but after that, we will be all finished up and just WAITING!!! I dread waiting because I am probably one of least patient people ever, but I am so so excited to be waiting, as well. I actually can not wait to be technically "waiting"! Can you believe that it is actually going to be our turn? Gosh, we are so used to watching everyone else get what we are dying for, so it will be so unreal when we are finally able to have a turn! We may have to wait for a while, but atleast we now know that there is an end in sight. Ahhh... we are SO EXCITED!!!!!!! :)

Benefit Yard Sale & Fun Day for the Kids!

I am in the process of planning a yard sale to benefit our adoption process. I am planning to have the yardsale on Saturday, July 31st! This weekend, I was able to pick up my very first truck load of donated items, and I really got some great stuff! I got a kitchen table, 2 solid wood kitchen chairs, 4 vinyl spin chairs, bags full of clothes and a DIAMOND WEDDING SET...that's right, a real diamond! (THANKS DEBBIE) WOW, we are so blessed to have such amazing people around to support us! I am so anxious to see what else we are able to round up for the big sale! If anyone has anything lying around that you have been meaning to take to GoodWill, please give me a call! I will come and pick it up or you can drop it off at my house, Justin's Gram's house or even at the shop, Turning Heads! I am planning to have a fun filled day for everyone, so please come out to check it out! The BIG DAY is still in the planning stage, but I am hoping to have a few things that the kids will LOVE and enjoy! So, come to shop a little for yourself, but also bring the kiddos for some fun activities just for them!!! More details to come soon, after I get them more finalized!!

I have finally been able to meet my newest mephew, Easton, this week! He is absolutely precious! As babies get bigger, like my ohter nephew, Carson, you seem to forget how small they actually were. Easton is so tiny and sweet! He makes you want to just go lay down and just snuggle right up with him!

Carson was just a bit interested! :) He wanted to touch him at first, but then he was done. He wanted play and do his own thing!

I am such a proud aunt to all of nieces and nephews. They are all so sweet...most of the time! :)
I sure do miss the days when they were all as small as Easton. Here are a few pics to introduce you to all of the kids in my life!!!

Autumn, Alex & Amber

These are the loves of our life! My brother Jason, and his wife Kesha, are the parents of Alex, Amber & Autumn. Alex is the oldest, 13! I sure do miss when he was easton's size! He was one of the sweetest little boys that has ever been. He still is a sweet one, though! Autumn & Amber are twins and they are 10. They are beautiful inside and out. They are definitely going to give their Daddy a heart attack in a few years! haha!
Carson is my sister's little boy. Ashley is definitely a proud Momma of this sweet angel. He has just turned 2! The Terrible Two's!!!!!
Easton is Justin's sister's little boy. Lana and Joe have definitley made a precious and beautiful little boy. I can't wait to see him blossom into his very own little person!

The "losses" that are tagged to Adoption

Lastnight Justin & I went to our monthly Adoption Support Group. This was our first one that we were able to attend. The topic for lastnight was "the losses tagged to adoption". You usually don't think of the word "loss" when you think of adoption...Although, man, they uncovered ALOT of them! There is the loss for the birthmom, a loss for the child because of photos and knowledge on where they come from, a loss for the adoptive parents because you hurt because of the loss of the child...and so many more. They talked about how the "Adoption Journey" is a forever journey, it doesn't end when the adoption is finalized. I have never really thought about it this way, but the child has to deal with things, such as not knowing medical history and etc, for the rest of their lives. Thinking about my future child and all of the "losses" that they will have actually made me a little sad and nervous when we got in the car to come home. I was being me and kinda started freaking out and Justin said to me..."Kelly, we have tried to have our own baby for a while now and it just hasn't worked. I truly feel like this is what GOD has in store for us right now and you should not worry about those "losses" because we are going to give them SOOO many joys, as well." So then, of course, I started crying!!! :) Justin is definitely my rock when I am really needing it.
So, we learned that we are approaching more that just gaining a child. We are gaining alot of different things that differ so much from having your own child. But in the end, all that matters is the LOVE. There is nothing that compares to the love of a child. We already know this from the children that we "love" already. So, we are happy to welcome all of the "losses" with open arms and give all of our LOVE to the baby that GOD has in store for us! Our hearts are so full today!

Our Adoption Bug Fundraiser

Our Adoption Bug Fundraiser in finally up and running! We have already been so blessed by the amount of people who have bought shirts! We make a really good commission, that goes towards our adoption fees, off of every shirt that we sell. It is an awesome site that some pretty awesome people take the time to keep running to help families who are trying to adopt. We are SO THANKFUL for all of the people that have took the time out of their own achedules to check out the site and purchase a shirt for themselves. Take a second and check out our site, and maybe buy a shirt!! :) Here is our site:
Hope you enjoy it!

So...Now I am blogging!! :)

This is my first blog, so I am very new to this, but here goes! My husband and I have just recently started the adoption process! So many other hopeful adoptive parents have a blog to tell their adoption story, so I have decided to start one to share our's!
My Husband and I have been married for almost 5 years(will be next month). We have always known that we wanted a family. We started trying to have a baby not long after we were married, it was just not happening. We started Clomid, a fertility medicine, with my OB about a year after we were married. I took Clomid for about 9 months, but it never helped me do anything. So then, my OB sent me to a Fertility Clinic in Nashville, where we went through A LOT of treatments and medicines. Unfortunately, it was never successful, and never even resulted in a pregnancy. We decided to take a break from all of the medicines and treatments, so we did nothing! 5 months after we stopped, I GOT PREGNANT!!! We were so ecstatic and on complete cloud 9. The pregnancy ended only a few days after we found out. We were devastated. After we had gotten pregnant, we decided to go back to the Fertility Clinic. We did many more treatments, but we didn't reach another pregnancy. We finally decided that we were going to go ahead and try In-Vitro. I scheduled a few tests that I had to have done before we could do the IVF. I finished one of the tests and then found out that I was already pregnant again, so obviously we didn't go through with the IVF cycle. I miscarried again, only days after we had found out. We were devastated again! The next month, I was pregnant again! :) We were so happy, but so nervous. We were able to keep the excitement for about 2 weeks with this one, but it ended as well. I have a couple of blood disorders that are keeping me from carrying a child. They have put me on medicines to fix it, but they just don't think that the meds will take care of the problem. We were very upset in the beginning and it occasionally still isn't "fair", but we have started a new journey! We are both so happy with our decision to adopt and actually feel as if it has lifted 500 lbs off of our shoulders.
We are going full force into Our Adoption Journey! We have so much love to give and we know that somewhere there is a woman that is going to bless us with the best thing in our lives! We just have to wait for it.
